Starting An e-Publishing Business

By definition, e-publishing refers to the production of electronic (digital) books, magazines, or newsletters. An e-publishing business involves creating web sites, e-books, e-zines for purpose of generating income.


Target Audience

Any individuals expiring to become Internet entrepreneurs or technopreneurs.


Objectives

By the end of the 2-day training, attendees will have attained knowledge and ideas of:

  • How to start an Internet business with less than US$50

  • What resources are required to start an Internet business

  • Where to get the resources

  • How to connect with suppliers, vendors, and distributors overseas to carry their products for reselling

  • How to start an Internet bank account for collecting revenue

  • How to design and package a virtual product image for digital goods

  • How to create, design, and publish ebooks and ezines


    Prerequisites

  • Basic computer knowledge (e.g. Windows, Internet surfing, mouse handling)

  • Basic web design knowledge (e.g. html, hyperlinks, FTP, Internet domain) ~ not required if someone else is doing the web design for you

  • Comfortable with using application software (e.g. imaging and drawing)
